The Fluoride Debate
Fluoride in our water, is it a big deal or not? Should we be worried about the amount of fluoride we consume daily or is it good for our teeth & bones? Do you think it’s imperative that your water filter removes fluoride or are you more concerned about other contaminants? If you have something interesting to share with others on this subject – maybe a link to a recent article or a personal experience you’ve had in regards to this issue, please leave your comments below.

I believe fluoride is unhealthy if god wanted fluoride in our drinking water it would of had it in it so why is it that we add so much poison in everything just to make money? Fluoride is a waste product and the goverment is paying for a waste product guess were it ends up in our body and in our garden so it goes on shame on the goverment now I will by a filter to filter fluoride out of my water shame on QLD

You wonder how supposed intelligent people who are responsible for our wellbeing be it health or economical, are sucked in by the pharma/chemical propaganda and refuse to listen to their people AND the rest of the world. We have no hope.

I’m using the Aquasana system which takes out around 1/2 the fluoride. This seems like the best decision I could make, because I don’t want to lose the trace minerals from the water. It’s annoying that there’s fluoride in the water, but I feel secure that I have a water filter that actually removes 1/2 of it, alot of water filters don’t remove any and you’d never know that unless you thought to ask the question.

Fluoride is posion and that is the end of it.
we will be getting fluoride in our water debate or no debate, because the government says so.
I wish some one in authority would speak up about this issue along with many others but they dont, its just the way we have let things become. So it looks like I shall have to buy a filter for my drinking water now .
My advice is dont drink to much water.

My Girlfriend’s aunty is a dentist who runs her own clinic and she has had to treat patient after patient with rotting teeth due to lack of fluoride – a result of drinking too much bottled water. Every other chemical in the water is poison, but we DO need fluoride. I used to live on an island in New Zealand where there was no mass-water system, everybody had a rainwater tank out the back. Because of this, the local chemist would sell over-the-counter fluoride tablets that you are supposed to chew up and wipe all over your teeth and gums once every couple of months. My advice if you dont want rotting teeth – either live with the other chemicals in the water, or find a place that will source fluoride tablets for you

Kallum,
You should become aware that fluoride is industrial waste and makes an excellent rat poison.
Admittedly there is a limited amount added to water but it builds up in our systems.
There are countries in the world that have tried it and found it unsatisfactory and indeed dangerous to human health.
Your girlfriends dentist Aunty would see a lot less rotten teeth if she could just get her patients to brush their teeth after each meal. Indeed this might eliminate the problem altogether and I suppose this would be bad for business, and the Industries that produce fluoride industrial waste would have to pay for its disposal instead of being paid by gullible councils to be allowed to poison their local citizens.

I am really getting upset with all our so called “educated” people. It seems the longer we all study and the more PhD’s we churn out, the more stupid we seem to get on the average. I am slowly regretting I studied 5 1/2 years. This is the year 2008 and we are confronted with an epidemic of overweight children and adults and a world wide epidemic of diabetes . It is all related.
The cause of rotting teeth is the high sugar and starch diet which has become a standard diet with too many.
This QLD government and especially the Premier, who’s possibly very first action was to introduce the endocrine system disrupting chemical fluoride into our drinking water, should be sacked.
It does not seem possible, to let the people, who pay the salary of our public servants, get just pure water from the tap, as it should be. Our Premier turned out to be a Tyrant.
Yes, Fluoride hardens the enamel. Its a fact, like Panadol takes headaches away. The question to ask after a while, why do you get headaches that often, and why do teeth rot? You don’t have headaches because of a Panadol deficiency and your children s teeth don’t rot because of a fluoride deficiency.
How about all the Fluoride tooth pastes on sale everywhere “most dentists recommend”? How long have these fluoride toothpastes been around, 20-30 years? They didn’t work? Of course not as long as we don’t reduce sugar intake including Fructose significantly. Neither will fluoride in the water work if the diet stays the same.
No more votes for this premier and her cronies.

That’s right – they’ve medicated the population WITHOUT OUR CONSENT!
Shame, Bligh – you could have been good for this state.

WE can do something – we can all have rainwater tanks and refuse to drink the flouridated government water.

Has anyone noticed the tasyte of the water has changed? I personally have found it tasting like dirt… could be just me, but I’d be interested to hear of other peoples experiences.
Leave our water alone – people can take fluoride themselves and recycled warer used for industry and agriculture only.

If I wanted Fluoride I can get plenty from toothpaste!!! Fluoridating water is unquestionably mass medication without consent & is in breach of the Geneva Convention, Human Rights Act & more. I found a Waters Mineral Pot filter that removes 85% but I’d still prefer it wasn’t there in the first place.

It’s so bizarre that seemingly educated people I talk to about fluoride in our water use their own personal experience as the only proof they need of it’s effectiveness.
Does nobody know how to research anything anymore? Or at least not provide their opinions so loudly about something they obviously have extremely limited experience of?

We have 2 days to the state election. Can’t understand why no opposition party is campaigning on the flouride debacle. Most people are against it. No goverment should have the power to tamper with our very essence of life without a referendum.
Have your say on Saturday and throw out Anna Bligh.

Umm… I spent almost 20 years living in a house with no fluoride in the water. I did not get my first cavity until I was about 22, two years after I moved out and started drinking fluoridated water. If you’d learn how to brush your freakin teeth correctly then you wouldn’t need poison yourself just to keep your teeth from rotting. It’s called hygiene, people! And studies show that fluoride doesn’t really clean teeth anyway. It just slowly kills you. Those of you that are pro-fluoride need to read “Never be sick again” by Raymond Francis.

Its so unfortunate how the so called educated health officials and politicians make these decisions for us without our choice. These people are governed by higher and higher tiers of control which are ultimately aiming for population control and intelligence suppression.
April 16th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
The government is not wrong – we all need a certain amount of fluoride in our diet for good bone/teeth health. But if we’re eating any fruits and vegetables at all (especially those where you eat the skin) we’re getting all the fluoride we need. As another commenter stated, no need to medicate us without our consent.
May 14th, 2009 at 7:52 am
Unbelievable ignorance….what happened to choice? Fluoride is poison (and I believe we actually buy it from overseas … ) So what if I decided Spirulina was good for all the people who didn’t eat fresh greens on a regular basis and made EVERY body ingest it. At least you’d be able to see it in the water supply. It seems so crazy. I didn’t vote for Anna but she still got in… bugga! I voted for the one guy who opposed fluoride but not very loudly. I wondered if candidates were unsure if they campaigned against fluoride it would affect their chance? Anyway what can we do??
I came across this whilst looking for filters (other than reverse osmosis and distillation) that remove at least some fluoride from our water. Appreciate any info ….

Think I’ll go with Aquasana. Gotta trust someone.

Kallum, in regards to the woman with the rotting teeth there are a few variables missing:
What was the patient’s diet like?
How often did the patient brush their teeth?
How often did the patient regularly go to see a decent dentist?
I go for regular check-up and every time as part of the cleaning routine my dentist gives my teeth a topical fluoride treatment. I’ve been living in a non-fluoridated region for a long time and the only issues I’ve had with my teeth are from liking sugar way too much. Anna and her people are surely getting some money for disposing of excess industrial generated fluoride.

Fluoride is a by product of making Aluminium. It is a waste product which is put into water as a way of getting rid of it and making money at the same time! It is poison!!
